Hello lovely readers...Happy New Year!
I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday and looking forward to a brand new beginning.
What are your hopes and dreams for this new year? Whatever they are, I hope they all come true :)
I am still enjoying the December kit called 'Ever-True' from Scraps of Elegance...
'hello'
So here I started with the paper 'Figurados' from the Cigar Box Secrets collection by Prima as my base, and then layered on pieces of the Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs collection under my photo. I also used pieces of paper from the Prima Cigar Box Secrets 3x4 Journaling Cards....these two collections go really well together.
Here is the beautiful kit from December...

Here a few close ups...
I loved all the Prima flowers in this months kit.
I created some texture in my background by using a Tim Holtz mask and heavy white gesso,
then I went back and traced some of the letters with the beautiful chocolate colored marker
by Atyou Spica that was included with the kit.
Lots of olive green and honey colored mists in the background with lots of messy stamping.
I wanted to do something really grungy, messy and 'boyish'.
See you next time,
Hugs, Lisa xo
Awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic job you did incorporating flowers onto a "boyish" l/o. Everything about this is PERFECT.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous like always!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways such magic to see here Lisa. I adore your fabulous grungy boy layout with all it's fab details. Love love love it.
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa, I hope Christmas and the beginning of the new year has been good for you. Thank you for your very kind words you left for me, I very much appreciate them. I am not good at making the time to leave comments on blogs, even tho I visit many, but I am going to try to put a little more effort in this year. I have loved your work from the very first page you submitted to SATW and when I saw that first page I knew then your work was special, a little different, having a lightness and elegance but at the same time full of depth and detail, and your use of colour always amazes inspires me. Your page here is the perfect example...spots, checks, flowers, dribbles and splashes.....at first glance a very elegant and simple page, but you are compelled to look deeper because of course there are many beautiful layers and pretty little details just waiting to be discovered, so much depth, thats what your work is like. I look forward to always seeing what next you create.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful layout! I absolutely love the adorable photo you used, too! Your style always blows me away, Lisa, and I love visiting your blog to see your wonderful creativity! Thanks for sharing it with all of us. And thanks, too, for your visit to my blog! HUGS!!! Happy New Year, my friend!
ReplyDeleteStunning layout! I love the way in which you have combined the colours and embellishments. The details in your layouts are consistently, nothing short of spectacular. Love seeing what you create!
