Hi everyone...I am up on the Pion Design blog today with my latest layout....

'purple rose'

I have used some really gorgeous Pion Papers here called 'Purple Rose', 'Borders' and 'Purple Wallpaper' from the collection called 'Alma's Sewing Room' and and old family photo. Here is a closer look....

I really love the muted purples in this collection, very classic and so elegant. I did a lot of masking and layering, adding lots of splashes of ink. 

This is the first time I used some handmade flowers, I love how they turned out. I used the Sizzix die Tattered Flowers and a glue gun, just love how they will always match the papers perfectly ;)

Delight

Hello girls....

Dropping in to share my latest layout I created for Blue Fern Studios called....

'Delight'

I used the beautiful 'Susan's Dream' paper and added lots of layers and masking.

and a piece of the 'Layering Stems' and one of my favorites 'Tattered Butterflies'.

'eight'

Hello there! So glad you stopped by....

I am in love with editing photos on my iPhone and playing with the colors, so I came up with these photos of Liam that I took the other day, looking quite serious. I was loving the pinks and oranges and reds and I thought of the Prima Sunrise Sunset papers and it was just a perfect match. I think they are my all-time favourite Prima papers. Ever.

I saw that the Once Upon a Sketch theme this month was the men in our lives....well my life revolves around this little guy, and since he turned eight last month, there have so many changes, it's been hard to handle! I wrote some journaling on the back of the layout...'Liam you are growing up so fast! You are still a sweet and kind boy who still gives me a cuddle, but you are growing more and more independent everyday....turning eight is really bring some changes....love you more than you will ever know ;)....'

Journalling Theme: "The men in our lives..." 

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is! 

I changed the sketch a little bit, I used two photos, just split them up.

I used some of the new Memory Box dies I bought, little tiny delicate vines and leaves, I thought they would look pretty and also symbolize how my little boy is growing up!

dream big!

Hello everyone, big news! I have joined another Design Team, 

this time the team at Pion Design! I really love their sweet romantic papers, just my style ;)

My debut layout is titled 'Dream Big', every milestone in my scrap-art 

adventure is just like a wonderful dream come true to me, I'm so happy to have found 

a way to loose myself in the pure joy of creating.....

Here I have used some Pion papers called 'A Day in May' 'Tags', 'Borders', and 'Writings'.

Scrap the Boys August Challenge!

Hello girls....August already? It's been so hot this summer, can I say I'm really looking forward to autumn? Well a new month means new challenges....the August challenge at 'Scrap the Boys' is to profile the boys in your life....this one really was a challenge for me as I am terrible with titles, journaling, etc. found some stickers to do the trick!

I love this photo of Liam at the beach, he has to be one of the most photographed kids ever ;)

This is the first time I used my brand new gelatos! I really love them, I am definitely going to experiment with them a lot more. I also used some Blue Fern Studios chippies, the filmstrip and the memories piece, which you can find here....

Hello girls.....happy friday! 

This week was a tough one...really looking forward to some studio time this weekend ;)...

It's the first of the month, time for another great sketch reveal over at Blue Fern Studios....

'By the Sea'

As soon as I saw the sketch for August I knew what photo I wanted to use.....

I took this picture of Liam when we were at the lake and then altered it with an app on my phone,

I love how dramatic it turned out with the black and blue water and it inspired me to do something different from my usual style. I used some 13 arts blue and black ink in the background.

You have until the end of the month to enter, and remember, you don't have to use the exact chipboard pieces from the sketch, you can use any Blue Fern Studios products. More details here....
