'live your dreams'

Hello my crafty girls, I am dropping in to share my very first layout made with
the February Scraps of Elegance kit called 'Garden Gala'.

'live your dreams'

I had my eye on the most beautiful mood board I saw over at Scrap Africa that I really wanted to join in, and when I saw these beautiful papers by Bella, called 'Memory Lane' in this month's kit I instantly knew what I wanted to do. I used one side as the base and then the same paper but the other side for all the little pieces of vintage papers that I used on my layout. I loved the look of old peeling paper in the mood board, so I took a plain brown paper bag ripped it up into pieces and then sewed it down on to my base paper which I had also torn up and glued down over some striped paper. I found this perfect vintage photograph of my Grandma and my Aunt.....
and I love how it turned out :) So grungy but pretty at the same time.

Here is mood board:

To look at all the gorgeous projects made with this, please go here.

This month's kit is already sold out, but you can subscribe to our monthly kits
and never miss out again! To find out more, please go here.
And don't forget to check out the blog too! Find it here.

From this month's kit I used the Bella papers, the Blue Fern Studios stamp,
the prettiest Liquid Pearls in 'Rose Gold' (LOVE this, I've never had these before,
and I love the way they look!), and the Ranger Ink pad in 'Tea Stain'.

See you soon, Lisa xo

'Miss Potter'

Hello crafty chicks! How is everybody?
I'm so glad you have dropped by today :)
I have a brand new layout to share that I designed for 2 Crafty Chipboard.

'Miss Potter'

I love this photograph of Beatrix Potter holding her pet mouse. Her little magical animal world is loved by so many people and I remember my father used to treat me to her tiny books when I was a little girl. I was going for a romantic vintage mood with this layout so I chose to use the beautiful chipboard called 'Avery Vines' to add some elegance.

I also chose to use the 'Brick Panel' that I altered  by using some brown ink,
and I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst mists on the background.

As a designer for Scraps of Elegance, I also treat myself to the Scraps of Darkness kit every month.
This layout was created with the February kit called 'Heirloom', that had some really pretty flowers and papers, for more info on where to buy our kits, please visit the online store, here.

See you soon, Lisa xo

'as it was before...'

Hello crafty ladies....it's time to share the new challenge for February
over at Words & Painterly

'as it was before...'

Creating my 'scrap-art' is my favourite past time, but when I'm not doing my art, I love watching period films. I recently saw Keira Knightly in 'Anna Karenina' and I fell in love with the costumes and beautiful sets. When I saw this photo had all the colors of the new challenge, I knew what to do. I used some Cold Country papers by 7 Dots Studio, which even through all the haunting black also has some of the prettiest purples and icy blues.

Here is our new challenge....

I hope to see you join in the fun this month, we have two great prize packs and
a wonderful Guest Designer, please read about her here.

Here are a few close ups...

Lots of black stamping on the background, and some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.

I sewed on some black mesh lace onto the background as a
nod to the stunning gowns in the film.

Thanks for the visit!
see you soon..Lisa xo

'memories are timeless'

Hello friends, I have another layout to share with you designed for Scraps of Elegance.

'memories are timeless'

Just in time for Valentine's Day....this is a photograph of my husbands grandparents
whom he adored. I've never met them, but I know how much they meant to him.
Is there anything more sweet than love that lasts as long as an entire lifetime?
I loved these KaiserCraft papers in the January Scraps of Elegance kit, there also was a
matching sticker sheet and I used some of the flower stickers and another one for my title.
For more info on where to purchase our kits, please go here.
And to see how all of our designers create beautiful projects every month
with our kits, please visit or blog here.

Here are some close ups:

I would like to enter my layout in a challenge called 'Declaration of Love'
that I found on a blog called Scrapvell, with the theme of love and using stamps.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's!
Thanks for looking,
Love, Lisa xo

'your art'

Hello my crafty ladies! I've got a brand new layout to share made with the January
Scraps of Elegance kit called 'Adore'.  The paper add-on to these kits are always
so wonderful....in this kit there were three different yet harmonious collections....
Blue Fern Studios 'Blush', KaiserCraft 'Ma Cherie, and BoBunny 'Love and Lace'.
Even if you don't subscribe to our kits, you can often find the paper add-ons in
the online store, here.

'your art'

I have made a New Year's resolution for 2016 that I have to start using up my craft 'stash' (read: hoard).
I went out and bought myself some new storage, and I have sorted out all my goodies from my past Scraps of Elegance kits, and placed it all close by my table, so that it's all in easy reach while I'm working on my Design Team projects. I have incorporated some items from past kits, the brass key, some flowers, and some black Tim Holtz rub-ons that I used on the background. And from January's kit I used the KaiserCraft papers, and white lace Prima flowers.

Here is our January kit...

You can visit the Scraps of Elegance blog here.

I would like to enter my layout in a challenge I found on 'Scrap Club ArtUgolok'.

I was inspired by the stitching on the right hand side, so I sewed a
piece of black lace onto my paper as a background.
More info on the challenge here.

Here are some close ups...

I would also like to enter a challenge I found on a blog called Retro Kraft Shop, 'Retromania 14',
where the theme is anything vintage or shabby, and my page has a little of both :)

More info on the challenge here.

You all know how much I adore vintage photos, I love this one of
Lewis Carroll and his muse, Alice Liddell....

Thanks for looking!
