'Kind Hearted'

Hello my lovely readers, today I am up on the 13 arts blog with a brand new layout
that I created using my dear friend Fiona's new collection called 'Strength in Numbers'.
Fiona and I have been blogger crafty friends for several years now and she has
always shown me so much love and support, I was so thrilled for her when she
got the opportunity to design her very own collection!

'Kind Hearted'

This new collection has beautiful bright almost neon colors with some fun patterns, and this page is
an homage to Fiona's art style, which I really admire:)
Her pages always have a fun modern twist, and she is so experimental, always trying new things.
I thought these photos of my boy while we were on our family vacation fit the look perfectly.
Please check out Fiona's blog called 'Pastiche Studio', here, so full of cool art!

You can find this collection on the 13arts online store here
and don't forget to check out the 13arts blog here, to see how
all our designers create with all three new collections.

Here are a few close ups:

I used some 2 Crafty Chipboard frames on my page, and I altered them by first painting them
with white acrylic paint and then with some Ayeeda paints in 'Turquoise' and 'Pink'.

Here is a list of 13arts products I used:

13arts Black Gesso
13arts Modeling Paste

'I believe in fairytales...'

Good evening my crafty friends.
I want to share another layout made with the Scraps of Elegance
kit 'Country Chic' using lots of 49 & Market papers and embellishments.

'I believe in fairytales...'

I loooove dark, dramatic paper so much, it always makes everything you add to a page stand out so brilliantly! I created one of my signature ultra messy backgrounds with gesso and watercolors, and then added some torn up 49 & Market papers, a butterfly from one of the Tim Holtz ephemera
packs from a previous kit and then lots of flowers and bits and pieces from the 49 & Market
layered embellishment pack. I love how this page turned out; romantic, chaotic and dreamy.

Here are a few close ups:

The main kit included a pretty pack of natural cotton laces that I tore up and added
under my photo, one of my favourite embellishments to use, I thought it somehow tied in
with the beautiful gown the young girl in the photograph is wearing.

I finally found this Dusty Attic stencil that I had been searching for for a very long time,
I love the whimsy and the movement it gives my page. I also used the Lindy's Stamp
Gang blue glitter from the main kit, although I can never quite capture in my
photos just how much sparkle it adds!

I really enjoyed this kit so much!
If you would like to find out how to becomes a monthly subscriber,
please go here, and don't forget to check out our blog here.

I also added a few of the paper clay pieces I made with this month's
Creativity Add On, I left them white with just a splash of watercolor
but I imagine there are so many ways to alter these pieces.
Here I used one of the keyhole molds by Prima.

Thanks for looking, and all your sweet comments,
I hope my crazy pages inspire you somehow!
Big hugs, Lisa xoxox

'Through the looking glass...' for Mixed Media & Art

Hello dear readers! It's my turn over at the Mixed Media & Art blog today.
The moodboards that Olya and the team create are just breath-taking, and each one
I see inspires me so much! We now have two different inspirations each month,
and as always lots of fantastic prizes to be won.
This is my first layout with the 'Hazy Days' collection by 7 Dots Studio,
and what can I say? I'm in love....

'Through the looking glass...'

I used papers, stickers and sayings from the 'Hazy Days' collection by 7 Dots Studio, some
2 Crafty Chipboard pieces, lavender shrubs and swirls, and mediums and inks by 13 arts.
I wanted to recreate the scene in the photograph, so I added lots of leaves, branches and flowers.

Here is the stunning moodboard for this month:

I felt inspired by the mysterious forest scenes and the rich jewel toned greens.

Thanks for looking, see you next time :)

'Vintage Love' my new challenge at 13 arts

Hello dear readers...I'm back to share a new layout designed for the new challenge I am
hosting over at 13 arts, called 'Vintage Love', inspired by Olga's latest collection called
'Vintage Moments'.

'My heart lives here....'

I used the paper 'Old Letters' as my base, and then fussy cut some clocks and leaves from the
paper called 'In the Past'. I used the stencil 'Vintage Words' from the same collection with
some white modeling paste and some Ayeeda mists to create my background.

Here is my new moodboard, I hope you like it!

You can find out how to enter on our blog here.
All the 13 arts products I used can be found in the online store here.

Here are a few close ups:

I hope to see you join in the challenge!
To all my American friends, be safe! I am praying for all of you affected
by the hurricanes, we are at home today with some rain showers,
but a little nervous about what still may come....
Hugs, Lisa xo
