'Forever....('til death do us part)...a new layout for 13 arts

Hi friends, I hope you are all doing well and relaxing, still enjoying the holidays:)
I've been playing with the 'His & Hers' 13 arts collection again, and I was inspired by the
rich, warm tones in these papers, especially the deep reds, and I was moved to create something
dark and mysterious.

'Forever....('til death do us part)'

I carefully tore up and fussy cut a piece of the paper 'A Piece of Her' so that I had a nice long strip of those beautiful red roses which I glued down the middle. I also glued down the other piece of that same paper I had tore and I love how it made an interesting way to layer the papers up and let that beautiful dark butterfly paper show through.

I created my background by covering the whole page with 13 arts clear gesso to seal the paper and then I used some Rainbow Watercolor Duo in brown and some 13 arts ink in 'Woodbine' to add some color. Then I layered on a few pieces of antique black lace, some Prima flowers, and some little pinecones.

I had been seeing some different girls work with some really cool what looked like
threads? and I finally figured out what it is! It's called 'sisal' and after looking in several
craft stores I finally found a big bag in the floral section of Hobby Lobby. I added some to my
page and I love the look it gave, I might try to spray some with black ink too :)

For a full list of 13 arts products used on this page, please check out my blog post here.

Thanks for dropping by,

'Traditions' a new layout for Scraps of Elegance

Hello my lovelies...
Confession time...how many of you whilst enjoying all the family gatherings
and festivities are secretly plotting how you can slip away to your craft table?
I've had such a wonderful Christmas with my family....
but, knowing I had the brand new Scraps of Elegance 'Christmas Cheer' kit sitting on my desk,
made me want to go and get messy with some papers and inks. I got in a little bit of quiet time
last night and then woke up super early this morning and finally finished my first page with this amazing kit.

'Traditions'

Lots of gorgeous Blue Fern Studios in this kit, beautiful papers called 'Vintage Christmas Collection' and some lovely wintery chipboards that I painted white and then embossed in silver. The finishing touch was some Blue Fern Studios 'Christmas Blooms' from the floral add on.
It's our little Christmas tradition to get our portrait taken together :)

Here is the new kit...

You can find our online store here, the kits sell out super fast!
And don't forget to stop by our blog here, where you can find lots of beautiful
creations created with our kits.

I've used some 13 arts products on this page too, a stencil for some snowflakes
and some Ayeeda inks in Gold and Scarlett.

So I have some wonderful news...I have been invited to stay on the Scraps
of Elegance design team for 2017! I am so excited to be part of this wonderful and talented
group of ladies. You can see the new team blog post here.
My favourite day of the month is the day I see the big box of goodies on my
doorstep..I just know it's packed with such pretty papers, flowers,
and so much more. Thanks so much Melinda for believing in me :)

I used so much from this kit, the papers, the chipboards, the pretty Prima stamp
from the 'Sweet Peppermint' collection, and the adorable tiny silver jingle bells.

I hope you are all enjoying the holidays and get a little bit of time to create something
special and sparkly......just for you.
Here's looking to another great year of (hopefully!) inspiring you with these beautiful

'Peace' a new layout for 'Mistress Owl'

Hi sweeties, I hope everyone is enjoying all the preparations for our soon to
arrive Christmas holidays? Last night I was wrapping presents for my family
up north while having a glass of wine and listening to King's College Choir
singing Christmas carols. My yearly little tradition that always gets me
in the full on Christmas spirit :)

The lovely ladies at the beautiful blog called 'Mistress Owl' invited me to
Guest Design using a wonderful holiday moodboard and this is what I created.

'Peace'

I used some little vines and some pine cones that I bought from Hobby Lobby and a bit of Lindy's Stamp Gang 'Whale Watch Blue' and 'Chocolate Truffle' to add some color to my background.

Here is the wintery moodboard:

I also added a few little 2 Crafty Chipboard snowflakes and a few

Christmas Tags for 13 arts

Good evening girls. It's my turn up on the 13 arts blog and I decided to create some
Christmas tags with lots of sparkle and shimmer.

I love a deep rich navy blue and 13 arts inks come in such beautiful colors. I started by covering some chipboard tags with a piece of the 'Aria Story' paper called 'Sounds Good', then I used some 13 arts white gesso through two stencils, 'Star's and 'Postcard' and then added my ink with a paintbrush, some stamping, and then layered on some 2 Crafty Chipboard called 'Corner Sweet Holly' and a few little winter branches.

I also used two little pieces of the 'Aria Story' chipboard that I painted white, and
then while it was still wet, I sprinkled on some 13 arts tiny clear microspheres to add
some texture.

Tags are a great way to experiment. I saw this tag in my head wth the deep navy blue against the stark white, and they was really easy to put together, just start with some inks and then just layer on your embellishments.

My final step was to use some Ayeeda Paint in 'Silver Glitter' all over the chipboards, and then I sprinkled some of my favourite Silver Hologram glitter for some sparkle.
I hope I have inspired you a little today,
Big hugs,
Lisa xo

'Beautiful' a new layout for Scraps of Elegance

Hello friends, thanks so much for visiting my blog and making sharing my art so fun!
I have designed another page using the Scraps of Elegance kit 'Petals'.

'Beautiful'

The Kaisercraft papers in this kit are so pretty, here I used a delicate white wood paper for my background, and then layered on some roses that I fussy cut from some of the other papers in the kit, a few of the ephemera pieces from that same collection, and some Kaisercraft flowers from the Floral Add On, and some more of that Blue Fern Studios chipboard panel.

I created my background with some heavy white gesso through a stencil, then added some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in pink and green and then finally added some silver beads. I also used the fluffy white trim that came in the kit underneath my layers.

Don't miss any of our beautiful kits! The best way to make sure you don't miss them is
