'Remember this Moment'

Hi girls! I've been working with the Scraps of Elegance kit called 'Petals'...
super pretty kit filled with gorgeous papers and flowers in pinks and greens.

'Remember this Moment'

I'm making myself dizzy going back and forth between seasons, I am still loving to create things with deep rich fall colors but then I've been inspired to create snowy, icy scenes. I'm back to winter for this page....my desk was covered in pink and white and then I found this photo in my stash and away we go :) I combined two Kaisercraft papers here for my background and then layered on the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios chipboard, lots of Prima Rossibelle flowers and some 13 arts pink spray.

Here is the beautiful Scraps of Elegance kit 'Petals'.

Our kits sell out super fast, but you can find out how to subscribe here.
And to checkout our blog for ideas on how to create using our kits, please go here.

I would like to enter my page in a challenge called 'Winter's Tale'
on the gorgeous blog 'Factory 212'.
More on this challenge here.

I used a lot from the Main Kit, the Elements Add On, and the Floral Add On
including, the Kaisercraft 'Cottage Rose' collection papers, Kaisercraft 'Cottage Rose' die cuts,
Prima flowers, Prima Rossibelle Druzy Stones,
the pretty white trim and the cool Tim Holtz distress crayon.

Big hugs,
Lisa xo

'Follow Your Instinct'

Today in America we celebrate everything we are grateful for.....our family
our friends, and the chance to remind ourselves to appreciate everything that makes us happy.
I am so blessed with an amazing husband, my little boy who I love with all my heart,
and all the wonderful friends I have met along the path of my creative journey.

'Follow your Instinct'

It's super simple to create a little page like this, it's just a lot of layers. I cover a page in an old book with a really thick coat of heavy white gesso and then once that's dry, I cover it in a coat of clear gesso, then add some inks with a paint brush, some black stamping, apply more white gesso through a stencil, and then layer on some 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces, some flowers, brads and leaves, and you're done:)

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Viney Page Frame'
'Sharon's Butterflies'
'Frames Tiny Henri's'

The fiery colors of nature that surround us here in the South continue to
inspire me so much and I wanted to capture those colors in my art journal.
I used some super gorgeous Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in:

'Bayou Boogie Gold'
'Cajun Carmellian Red'
'Glory of the Seas Gold'
'Hag Wart's Orange'

A big thank you to all my friends all over the world who visit my blog
and make sharing art so fun,
Hugs, Lisa xo

'Today & Everyday'

Hello my sweet friends, it's my turn up on the 2 Crafty Chipboard blog today with some new projects to share with you. I loved the icy blues in this photograph and it turned into a wintry scene.

'Today & Everyday'

I'm so in love with this paper called 'Fields of Gold' by 13 arts, it's the the perfect backdrop for a snowy layout using lots of lovely 2 Crafty chippies. There is a newly released chippie called 'Whispy Dandelions' that I have painted white here, together with my title and lavender brush pieces.

2 Crafty Chipboards used:

'ATC Words Set'
'Whispy Dandelions'
'Today & Everyday'
'Lavender Shrubs'

I would like to enter my layout in to a challenge I found with a gorgeous moodboard
on a blog called 'AgiArt'.
I was inspired by the photograph of the blue berries, the nature theme,
and all the snowy scenes of winter.

More on this challenge, here.

'His & Hers'

Hi guys! I'm up on the 13 arts blog today with a brand new layout that I created
with the beautiful new collection designed by our own super talented designer Olga Heldwein
called 'His & Hers'.

I was over the moon when I received my box with the gorgeous new 13 arts collections, 'His & Hers' and 'Aria' just staring at the papers I had so many ideas rushing through my mind. Here I started with the paper called 'You & Me' as my base. I loved the warm brown and peach tones to the paper and I decided to do something with some warm deep orange and red colors. I did a lot of stenciling and stamping on my background, added some paper layers, flowers and then added some beautiful ink, one called 'Chalk Woodbine' and then finally at the end I brushed some 'Bronze Glitter' ink over my flowers.

To go and check out where to buy 13 arts products please go here,
and to check out the blog, please go here.

I would like to enter my layout in a sketch challenge I found on the blog
Fleur Design. I saw this sketch and really felt inspired to follow it :)

More on the challenge here.

Aren't these chipboard butterflies so gorgeous? It's hard to see the shine of the glitter
ink but it looks so pretty in life :) There are some new paints in warm browns, golds ,and bronze,
and so many beautiful craft adornments that go with these collections too....the cool brass clocks, chipboards, stickers, and the little stamens I have peeking out of my flowers.

See you soon!
Thanks so much for all the support, visits and comments,
they mean so much to me!

Frozen

Hello my friends, are you up for a new challenge? Yes? Well we have a brand new one
for you up over at 13 arts!

'Frozen'

I created this page using lots and lots of 13 arts mediums and embellishments. I used the paper 'Pastel Turquoise' from the Color Basic collection, as I thought the white splotches on the paper reminded me of a snowy day, which was perfect for this theme:)

Here is the amazing moodboard designed by our very own Maryse....

More info on this challenge here. There is always a fantastic prize pack to be won!

Lots of texture on my background using 13 arts Heavy White gesso, and while
it is still wet, I sprinkle in some grit, I love how that looks. Lots of stamping and
some black lines drawn in watercolor pencil to mimic the black lines of the trees
in my photograph.

You can find all the products I used in the 13 arts online store, here.

I also added some 2 Crafty Chipboard snowflakes to give it a wintery feel.

Thanks for looking,
Lisa xo

'Moments' a new layout for Scraps of Elegance

Hello friends, I'm back to share my latest layout created with the gorgeous
Scraps of Elegance September kit 'Timeless'.

'Moments'

I loved the colors in this kit, so bright and happy, so I decided to really splash out (ha!) and go for something really colorful and crazy. I am always a bit stumped with Graphic 45 papers, they're so pretty, but sooooo fussy! What to do? So I just tore up some of the papers and created some layers in the background with lots of bits of paper and heavy white gesso. I added a big dramatic chipboard swirl, lots of yummy Prima flowers from the Floral Add On and then finished it all off with some 13 arts inks.

Don't forget to check out the Scraps of Elegance blog here, and our online shop here.

A few details:

I LOVE the Floral Add Ons that you can purchase together with our kits,
Melinda always picks out the prettiest Prima flowers that totally
coordinates with the kit papers.

I used a 13 arts chipboard title and some beautiful bright 13 arts inks in:

'Pastel Turquoise'
'Pearl Orange'
'Pastel Raspberry'

I hope I inspired you a little,
Lisa xo

'Autumn' a new layout for Kiev Skrapklub

Hello sweet friends... I'm back to share a layout I created as a Guest Designer for
a wonderful new challenge on the blog Kiev Skrapklub.

'Autumn'

It seems like every month I see the new moodboard on this beautiful blog and it makes me want to run to my desk and create something....this month is no different with an air of crisp fall weather, warm cozy blankets and the most gorgeous colors of deep indigo blue and bright fiery orange, one of my favourite color combinations.

Here is the moodboard:

To find out more about the challenge, please go here.

Trying to think of something a little outside the box, instead of reaching for some
dark blue colored paper, I decided to really let the colors of my inks be the stars of this page.

I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in:

'Hog's Wart Orange'
'Cajun Carmelion Red'
'Afternoon Delight Denim'
'Long John's Silver'

I added a little piece of 2 Crafty Chipboard called 'Fine Leafy Bush'.

See you soon,
Lisa xo
