Happy Monday girls...I was in the mood to create something really really shabby with lots
and lots of pink, so of course I grabbed my September Scraps of Elegance 'Timeless' kit
full of beautiful BoBunny papers and Prima flowers and this is what I created.
'Me & You'
I didn't really like the hearts down the left hand side of this grey paper so I roughly tore off the top and side part, sprinkled the torn paper edges with water to get some really good folds into the paper and then glued it down to the pink paper with a diamond pattern. Using heavy white gesso and a cool stencil with diamond shapes I created some texture on the background. Then I splashed some 13 arts inks (I'm in love with the Pearl Pink 13 arts mist) all around and then added all my layers: some white cheesecloth sprayed with the same pink mist, some torn up papers, some of the BoBunny ephemera pieces and then lots of the pretty Prima flowers.
Don't forget to check out our blog where we post all of our projects done with our kits.
There are always really cool video tutorials too, just to give you even more ideas!
You can find our blog here.
We also have a Facebook group where you can share your work inspired by our kits
you can find that here.
I would like to enter my layout in a challenge that I found on a beautiful blog called
'Mistress Owl'...the challenge is to create something with a wood background.
To visit the challenge please go here.
Here are some details:
LOVE the Prima wooden Alphas that came in the Elements Add On,
and there's a whole big box of them too, perfect for creating a fun title.
Couldn't resist adding a bit of 2 Crafty Chipboard too, here I used a piece called
'Dandelion' and also some 'Foliage Set 1' that I covered in white gesso.
Thanks for looking!
hugs, Lisa xo
