'In Night's Still Calm'

Hello crafty girls, I am upon the Mixed Media & Art blog today with a new
creation, a watercolor mixed media piece inspired by our new moodboard.

'In Night's Still Calm'

I saw my friend Fiona create something on some vintage paper and I recently
bought a big box of vintage ephemera including some really cool piano books.
I took a large page of music, covered it in clear gesso, and then started thinking
about my composition. I loved this mysterious and eerie photograph, and wanted
to create a scene that replicates the forest all around her.
We also have a mixed media challenge on the blog that required use of natural elements,
so I took some leaves from a fern in my garden and glued them onto my page,
then I covered them in heavy white gesso, did some stamping and then painted
a warm fiery glow onto the middle of my page with watercolors.
I also added some twigs, some chipboard leaves and a chipboard frame.

Here is our moodboard and also our challenge:

Hello-hello to all the creative and mixed media fans !!!
Today we continue our exciting  Joint Project "Creative Art"

So, our 3 stage is about nature. All the most beautiful and charming that was created by Nature ! Nature inspires, gives new emotions and surprises us. And every artist. Therefore, at this stage, we suggest you create any work in the style of a mix-media using ONE non-scrap material from the nature and also one more more obligatory element of this stage - LETTERS in any form. You can use any scrap materials and in any quantity and also do any work, the main thing is that there is only one element of nature

So the 3 stage you must use:
Natural materials - no scrap material
Letters -  in any form
Your work is accepted until October 29

Here are a few close ups:

After my watercolors were dry I took some Prima Gold Mica Powder
and mixed it with a little bit of water to highlight my real leaves.

I used some 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces, some leaves and a round frame that I painted
with Prima Gold Mica Powder.

Thanks for looking, and I invite you to join our challenges!
Hugs, Lisa xo
